The Philadelphia Eagles, a large NFL team franchised located in Philadelphia, PA aprroached Transmogrify about creating Compeet. Compeet is an app that makes walking fun! The idea of the app was to allow the Philadelphia Eagles fans have a friendly competition to get up and have fun while excercising!
While working on the UI, I mainly focused on what the style of the NFL used for their commercials, scoreboards, uniforms, and branding. It was important to integrate the inspiration from NFL's style into Compeet since that is what majority of football fans are familiar with. Since this app was focused for the Philadelphia Eagles, it was best to stay closely to their brand colors and how they represent the brand because I wanted the fans to feel connected to the team and that the Eagles were motivating people to have fun while exercising.
Although the app did not get a chance to get developed further than the stages of UI design and a small exploration of the Compeet logo, it was still a great experience of trying to figure out how to incorporate the C, walking and stairs. As of right now, there is no finalized logo for the app.
It was extremely important to focus on the Eagles's branding but I wanted to make the design as fun as possible and modern at the same time. I had a lot of fun creating the UI for this app and felt motivated to even start walking for fun to have a friendly competition among friends. Although this app did not get developed, it was definitely a great experience to learn about the Sketch app along with using a variety of gradients without using Photoshop!
